Our community

The Kuraby State School community is an exciting and diverse blend of people. We draw enrolments from a large number of suburbs across Brisbane’s South East and our families represent many different ethnic and cultural groups. We value the multicultural flavour of our school and promote an ethos of tolerance and understanding.

Education is by nature a partnership between school and home environments and we value and encourage interaction with parents, caregivers and community members.

Fence advertising

An opportunity is available for your business or Not-for-Profit Organisation to advertise with the Kuraby State School. We are offering a limited number of fence panels to locals for the purpose of attaching signage for a small yearly fee. The location of the available fence space is on the corner of Beenleigh Road and Pioneer Drive facing the busy intersection.   Signs must be 230cm long x 85 cm high.

Signs are to be provided by you at your own expense.  The yearly fee will be $330.00 for Not-for-Profit Organisations and $550.00 for local businesses and will be invoiced to you yearly.

All money goes directly to the school to assist with the purchase of new resources for the students of Kuraby State School. We currently have 445 students from approximately 44 different nationalities. Additional teaching and learning material is required for all students including ‘English as a Second Language’ (ESL).

Positions will be given on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, so be quick to take up this opportunity. If you are interested please email the P&C on pandc@kurabyss.eq.edu.au with your contact details and a representative from the committee will get back to you as soon as possible.
