Class Music Program
Miss Tammy Chang email to - cchan172@eq.edu.au
Kuraby students have a music lesson once a week with the music teacher, Tammy Chang. These weekly lessons are part of an eight year program that feeds into secondary school. Music is one strand of the Arts Syllabus and as such, is part of one of the key learning areas from years one to ten. The students may also elect to be in one of the performing groups.
Kuraby Choir - The choir is an auditioned group open to all students in years two to six and is conducted by Tammy Chang. The students in this group have a great deal of fun while learning some basic choral techniques. In the past, the choir has performed in front of local Principals, politicians, the Minister for education, the school community as well as on the radio.

Students from grades four to six are able to be involved in the school instrumental program taught by Michelle Hynes at our school on Wednesdays. Brass, woodwind and percussion instruments may be studied. The students then go on to be part of the school band which rehearses before school once a week. Students are able to hire an instrument (for a yearly fee) or can provide their own.
